What is Feng Shui?

TRUTH: Feng Shui is not about astrology, superstition, religion or philosophy. Feng Shui is the study of ENERGY and how energy impacts our lives, relationships, health, and career.

The art and science of Feng Shui recognizes that our lives are "deeply" connected and affected by our physical, mental and emotional environments.

Because there is NO separation in energy, if we live with fear, negation, anger, contempt, jealousy and/or indifference toward life and toward our brothers and sisters on the planet – this is all we can expect to receive in return.

Likewise, if we live with "hard" edges, uncomfortable or shabby furnishings, clutter, loud noise, odors, mess and other agitating and irritating elements on a daily basis (Sha Chi), our lives and communication will eventually mirror the same.

If we court "negative" energy, whether it be physical or mental, our homes and offices become a fertile breeding ground for relationship, health and/or cash flow problems. On the other hand, if we surround ourselves with art, cleanliness, simplicity, space and order, then we can ennoble our hearts, minds and souls, as well as our environment with Peace, Grace, Balance and Beauty.

TIP: Because this is a year of PEACH BLOSSOM – a year of romance, passion, creativity, partnership and love – I suggest that you consider giving your bedroom a SPACE-LIFT, first, so that your dreams can "survive and thrive!"

Feng Shui Space Clearing

QUESTION: How can I begin to remove clutter? Also, once I remove the clutter what can I hope to expect?

ANSWER: This is a very good question that affects all of us, in one way or another.

Because there is no separation in "Energy," everything piece of paper, decor item, furnishing, photo and clothing in one's environment has an "invisible" cord of energy into one's body. Because of this, a person living with a lot of "clutter and stuff" in their home, bedroom or office, often times feels IMMOBILIZED and/or STUCK in one or more areas of their life.

For adults, the most obvious signs are recurring: cash flow, business, health, weight, sex and relationship problems. For children it can range from weight, laziness, lethargy, poor concentration and agitation to bad grades in school. Also, it's not uncommon for both children and adults to feel hollow, empty, lonely and lost... DEPRESSION.

When one is out of Balance and feels this way, doing anything "positive" or "productive" can feel like it requires a monumental act of strength, when all that exists is "depletion." Thus I suggest starting with baby steps, first, by removing ONE small box a day from your environment.

If you do this, within 30 days, you will feel like a "tremendous weight" has been REMOVED from your life. Too, the beneficial outcome is Phenomenal and Fast. Within thirty days, you can look forward to enjoying MORE:

  • LIFE FORCE ENERGY
  • PASSION
  • LOVE
  • OPPORTUNITY
  • HAPPINESS
  • GENEROSITY
  • ABUNDANCE
  • PEACE
  • FLOW

You can also expect BETTER: HEALTH, RELATIONSHIPS, CASH-FLOW, CONCENTRATION, FOCUS, and GRADES

Here are a few POWERFUL "space clearing" TIPS:

1. GIVE IT AWAY: If you haven't had something on your body in 2 yrs, consider that it's no longer yours, and that it belongs to someone new. This includes children's toys too. (The "Goodwill" is an appropriate name, and a good place to start).

2. BURN IT AWAY: If your "stuff" looks beat-up, old, smells bad, or appears poor – no one else wants it either.

3. GIFT IT AWAY: Why wait until you die to "gift" friends, family and loved ones your treasures? Give the gift of Love NOW so that you can experience the "true" gift of giving. Nothing is more beautiful than watching faces light-up with "appreciation and joy."

4. STORE IT AWAY: Rent a small storage unit if you have too, and remove off season clothing and sports equipment, mementos, papers, files, and other things you "feel" that you cannot part with. Get it out of your SPACE, so you can open up "new" pathways for Blessings and Abundance to enter your life.

5. THROW IT AWAY: Sometimes the things we own, own us. This can range from "old" love letters and gifts from people who are no longer in our lives – to "cash flow negatives" or expensive things like cars and houses we no longer can afford, or that no longer bring us joy. I encourage you to take a Leap of Faith and throw away the illusions of love, security and wealth.

No one said SPACE CLEARING or the REMOVAL of CLUTTER is easy, but it is truly LIFE TRANSFORMING.

Feng Shui Questions & Answers

QUESTION: I have a storage building in my back yard in my money corner, what can I do to enhance this corner to work for me?

ANSWER: I have a client who painted a shed in their WEALTH gua a beautiful floral scene and another client painted one a "rich" looking gold and purple; both increased opportunities and finances amazingly FAST. The bottom line is... it has to look WEALTHY and/or ABUNDANT to attract "like" energy back.

QUESTION: What can I do if my husband is a West group person and I am an East Group person?

ANSWER: I would learn about each other's "essence" so that you can understand one another's persona, mind and and emotions. Opposites do attract, but it takes more work (usually) to see things the same way. I suggest listening to each other's Feng Shui Element "together" as a loving act of acceptance.

QUESTION: What one object can I place in my bedroom that will promote a new love relationship to come?

ANSWER: There is no "one" object better than another. What is important is for your bedroom to "exude" love, sensuality, sexuality and sacredness. I would also set the INTENTION for a partner by adding aesthetic "pairs" of things to your abode as well.

QUESTION: When you have a bath/laundry room located in the romance area of your home, what do you do?

ANSWER: Simply keep it lovely, fragrant and fresh. The washer and dryer are a GOOD symbol for a "pair" of things; however, you can leave a "his and her" towel out as well.

QUESTION: I'm confused. Do you need to redo Feng Shui remedies and enhancements annually or just once?

ANSWER: This is a good Question. Once you remedy and enhance the UNSEEN "energy" of your home or office (based on year of construction and exact compass degrees of the sitting & facing directions) - this ENERGY does NOT change. However, annually, we experience "visiting" or "new" Universal energy patterns that affect us. It is this energy that needs to be remedied and or enhanced on an annual basis.

QUESTION: Kindly, please let me know what is my best sleeping direction.

ANSWER: It depends on your gender and DOB. You will find this on your Feng Shui Element as well.

QUESTION: What is my Element for love and success?

ANSWER: The answer can be answered with a question: What are your "best" "directions" for love and success? Again, it is based on your gender and DOB. (Click here if you have not already ordered your Feng Shui Element. It is without a doubt, the single best gift you can give yourself, or a loved one).

Feng Shui Questions & Answers • Part II

QUESTION: I've enjoyed and learned so much from your CD for my Feng Shui element, which is Water. I understand the 8 mansions, but how does the use of color for my element affect each room (such as the bedroom)?

ANSWER: Every room in a home (or building) needs to have all 5 elements visually present and in balance, regardless of one's Feng Shui element.

QUESTION: Hello, I love your site and thank you for all the great information! I purchased the download for the Element. My question is does it change every year?

ANSWER: Good question. No, the information regarding your Feng Shui Element (which includes best houses, colors, directions etc.) DOES NOT change from year to year, only a building's energy changes!

QUESTION: Hi Suzee I have enjoyed your website for a while now. My question is my element is Mother Earth and my girlfriend's is Mountain Earth could you please tell me the difference. I have never heard of Mountain Earth.

ANSWER: In "Classical" (or sophisticated) Feng Shui there are 2 Earths, 2 Woods, 2 Metals, Fire and Water... 8 Elements total. In Chinese, your element "Mountain Earth" is called Ken (youngest son), and "Mother Earth" (oldest woman) is called K'un.

Besides learning how to increase your income and fortune, using your personal power directions, there is so much valuable information to glean about the DNA of each element, especially your own.

If you do not know your element or would like to order it, click here.

QUESTION: My house is located on a "T" intersection, front door directly facing the on coming street. Our family has been through a lot – rebuilding house due to hurricane Katrina, losing our business to the same storm, and consequently in very bad financial situation, plus my husband in poor health and needing 24/7 care. However, despite this, I have been very lucky with family and relationship aspect of life. It would be nice though if I can get out of this financial burden. Is this house unlucky for us because of its location (T intersection)?

ANSWER: YES.

QUESTION: I have searched and cannot find an answer so I hope you will entertain my question. We have a master bedroom that is rectangular in shape and has a slanted ceiling. That is, one long wall is about 8 ft. higher than the opposite wall and has two large windows near the ceiling. Our bed is positioned along the wall opposite the taller wall. The room has a fireplace at the short end of the room. Ever since we have lived here, health issues have increased and wealth has decreased. Would you give us some tips to remedy this room? I am willing to try anything?

ANSWER: Whether the difference is 8 inches or 8 feet, the compression from downward Chi "activity" from the sloped ceiling to the lower wall is wreaking havoc with your health. Thus, you DO NOT want to sleep with your heads against the lower wall. If this is not an option, you will want to place a fan or crystal light fixture centered on the ceiling, to "spin" or "refract" chi away from you. When one's health and energy is good, the ability to attract and make money increases as well. (The first recommendation is the safest, and the best remedy).

QUESTION: I work in a 2-person office. Although we each have our own small offices, the other person is very negative. I keep my office uncluttered and bright – his office is full of junk and there's no window, so it's not so bright. My question is how can I keep his negativity away from me? I feel it is affecting my ability to make money.

ANSWER: Your peace of mind and state of well-being is VERY important. I would not hesitate to move your office location as it takes a lot of energy – YOURS – to overcome "constant" negativity and (visual) chaos.

Feng Shui Answers You've Been Waiting For!

QUESTION: My bedroom and bathroom are surrounded with mirrors, can you please advise if it is bad Feng Shui?

ANSWER: A bathroom is an appropriate room for mirrors. A bedroom is NOT an appropriate room for mirrors, as it's hard on one's rest/sleep/health. Typically, the use of a lot of mirrors in a home is indicative of an occupant who is self-centered, self-absorbed and/or narcissistic. The exception to this rule is a property that is trying to capture a magnificent view, via the use of mirrors.

QUESTION: Is it bad Feng Shui if the bed in the master bedroom is directly above the cooking range?

ANSWER: YES. It is not only bad Feng Shui, but UNSAFE as well.

QUESTION: Hi, What has more power: Shape or Color?

ANSWER: Good Question. COLOR is more powerful as it vibrates at a higher frequency than "dense" matter.

QUESTION: I list a number of rectangular mobile/manufactured homes in my community and want to know how the square Bagua is to fit over the long rectangle so I can determine how to remedy to bring quick sale and top dollar.

ANSWER: You will want to overlay the Ba-gua the identical way you would over a house, to sell it. It doesn't matter if a property is rectangular or square. With a rectangular manufactured home or house, the guas are simply more narrow.

QUESTION: I live in an L-shaped house. The part that is missing is my family relationships sector. Suggestions for remedies?

ANSWER: Regardless what you have read in books, not all "L" shaped properties are bad. I find many of them to be basically rectangular homes with an extended gua(s). If you are unsure, check out FENG SHUI EMPOWERMENT or our FENG SHUI CERTIFICATION course to learn how to identify an extension vs. a missing gua.

Learning how to "read" or "view" buildings (structures) and the Ba-gua correctly is VERY important in Feng Shui. For example, if you remedy an EXTENSION you create loss, not abundance! And, if you don't remedy a "missing" gua area, a "void" or loss of some nature will affect the occupants as well.

QUESTION: I have a listing that has a nice floor plan but the master bathroom is entirely green. A light green, but potential buyers have commented on it bothering them. Since this is mostly tile (yes, green tile walls) there is not much I can do. Is there a cure for this?

ANSWER: YES. When one or more of the Five Elements are "over dominant" it creates an out of balance environment. You will want to use both the "reductive and destructive" cycles to remedy your listing. An out of balance property "de-magnetizes" buyer and contract activity. When one or more elements are "over" dominant as described above (Wood and Earth), it's not uncommon to have sellers that are out of balance and/or out of control as well. (Refer to the above program links to learn more).

QUESTION: We are trying to sell our house and there have been many showings but no offer yet. I have fixed everything and the house is in a good condition. Can Feng Shui help us in Florida Suzee?

ANSWER: When done correctly, ABSOLUTELY! Visit our site at www.FengShuiPlaza.com to learn more.

QUESTION: I live in a corner house. Is this a Feng Shui problem?

ANSWER: It depends on how much traffic (energy) flow there is in your neighborhood. Typically, corner homes are not "safe" and the occupants live "busy" lives that keep them constantly on the go. However, if you like a lot of activity in your life, then it's a good thing. If peace, harmony and balance are more important to you, then a quieter location where there is less "Chi activity" would serve you better.

Feng Shui Q & A that will IMPROVE Your Life!

QUESTION: When you Feng Shui a home and the home is on a flag lot do you hold the Ba-Gua facing the front of the house and not at the front of the property?

ANSWER: Good Question. You treat the house and the lot as two separate Ba-Guas! Also, you will want to "ignore" the extended portion of the land and overlay the Ba-gua over the "majority" of the lot (which is usually rectangular or square), and treat the extension (drive) appropriately.

QUESTION: What is the best way to balance any room to have positive energy that you spend a lot of time in but don't necessarily own?

ANSWER: "Space clearing" is the starting point to creating "good" Feng Shui – POSITIVE ENERGY. After you remove clutter and debris, you will want to BALANCE the 5 elements in each room. If you do not know how to do this you can get a book from the library or order MYTH, MAGIC and REALITY.

QUESTION: Is having my lot back up to a golf course view bad Feng Shui?

ANSWER: How many "poor" people live on golf courses? The answer is not many! Not that money is everything, but without it, most people cannot fully express themselves, nor can they inspire others.

QUESTION: If you had only one thing you could do to improve a missing wealth corner, where the outside corner just has an overhead wooden arbor but not walls nor a solid cover, what would it be?

ANSWER: You do not need walls or a solid cover, if the Arbor (stated above) squares the "missing" section off!

Feng Shui EMPOWERMENT

QUESTION: What do you think about enclosed back porches, that are heated and have central air. Should they be treated as a room?

ANSWER: If it is used to live and/or work in on a "regular" basis, yes, you can include it – provided it creates an "extension" and not a missing corner!

QUESTION: You said that there are 3 gua areas in a listing that should be "energized," plus the BONUS one. To do more areas than this can actually hurt the prospects of a sale, instead of help it! Can you tell me which ones? I write a lot about Feng Shui and find your comment interesting.

ANSWER: Over the last decade, working real estate Feng Shui, I've tested many schools and approaches. The above is my approach, but it's hard to answer in a simple question as the Bonus one always changes. However, everything is spelled out in detail, in my FENG SHUI EMPOWERMENT course. This information is vital to anyone whose career is in Real Estate, or who buys and sells property for a living, with the intention of selling property FASTER.

QUESTION: Do you always position the bottom of the ba-gua over the front of the house. Or is this just a practice with Western Feng Shui?

ANSWER: In Classical Feng Shui it's placed based on the sitting and facing "directions" of a structure/building. In Western Ba-gua Feng Shui, it is based on the position of the "most used" access (entry) door. However, as you will learn in FENG SHUI EMPOWERMENT... this "rule of thumb" is not always true when using Feng Shui to sell property! You can also learn the more intricate details of ba-gua positioning in our Feng Shui Certification course.

QUESTION: Hi Suzee, I can't afford to get my certification yet, but I was wondering which one of your books would help me the most right now?

ANSWER: Again, FENG SHUI EMPOWERMENT is the best starting point for learning Feng Shui in real estate. Also, when you are ready to get CERTIFIED, we credit you back $300 of your original purchase towards advancing your Feng Shui skill and knowledge. By the way, our Feng Shui CERT members are experiencing phenomenal success in real estate even in this down market due to their education and understanding of how to use Feng Shui successfully.

QUESTION: Is it still considered a poison arrow if the street that is forming a "T" intersection facing our house is not straight, but curving to almost about 90 degrees?

ANSWER: YES. You are describing a "T" blade intersection which often times is more destructive than just a "T." Depending on the environment and the amount of Chi (energy) that races towards your home, the blade can act like a machete that "cuts" into your lives, health, finances and/or career (or sometimes all the above).

QUESTION: I am looking for a new house. Is a house sitting SE and facing NW good or bad Feng Shui? Also if it's a foreclosure is there bad energy in the house?

ANSWER: Without knowing your Feng Shui Element, I cannot comment on the first part of your question. However, you can learn the answer to this question, yourself, when you order your Feng Shui Element.

If buying a foreclosure, I would space clear EVERYTHING inside and out, wash all windows, scrub wood cabinets and floors and add fresh paint to all the walls, so you do not inherit "sha" chi energy. A blessing to release the former owners to a "happy and better" future is advisable too, as there is no separation in energy.

QUESTION: I bought a book on Feng Shui that says I am Fire. Your report says I am Soft Metal. The characteristics that you applied to me are right on. Why the discrepancy?

ANSWER: Unfortunately many books have wrong charts and graphs in them – it's usually due to using the wrong calendar to calculate elements. In Feng Shui we use the Solar calendar, not Lunar.

QUESTION: Hi Suzee, if a family of four have all different elements how do you integrate them properly?

ANSWER: Good Question. The most important thing is to always HONOR each person's best health direction, or at least one of their best directions for a restful night-sleep. Health is the most important starting point in Feng Shui – without it, everything else pales and fails.

Feng Shui = Wind & Water

TRUTH: Water isn’t always YIN.

Water plays an important role in our lives. It’s a metaphor for wealth, success and purity. To transform your garden into a source of peace and harmony, guide Chi throughout all the areas of your garden. Flowing water, meandering pathways, friendly spaces, and romantic clusters allows our bodies to relax. Waterfalls and fountains are YANG, while pools and ponds create YIN bodies of water.

TIP: Add WIND to your garden with chimes, pin wheels, windmills, whirligigs, wind socks and/or flags. Add WATER with ponds, pools, fountains and falls. Every garden needs Feng Shui… Wind and Water!

INTENTION: I feel at-one-ment with everything in my garden. Wind and Water feeds and enriches my mind, body, spirit and soul. I am peaceful, inside and out.

Important Feng Shui Questions • Part I

QUESTION: You stated in your Feb 2008 Forecast Teleseminar to avoid any digging in the South for this year. My question is: does this include planting flowers?

ANSWER: NO. The planting of flowers is fine! "No digging" refers to MAJOR "destruction" to the Earth via "new or remodel" construction and/or by the removal of a large tree, boulder or wall on your property.

QUESTION: How do you Feng Shui a "pre-construction" project? My son is building a 4 unit condo building with 3 units devoted to residential and 1 unit (first floor) will be retail. How do I Feng Shui this to pre-sell the units?

ANSWER: The pre-construction period is a perfect time to integrate Feng Shui principles to help create dynamic form, function and flow. It is also the perfect time to consult with a Feng Shui expert, as many factors and layers of Feng Shui need to be considered. Unless you are Feng Shui Certified in several schools, I would make a design review appointment with an expert before proceeding. I suggest scheduling a consultation with us, or with a consultant in your area to insure "positive" results that meet your objectives and goals.

QUESTIONS:

  • How do I sell listings nowadays? Where do I put the sign?
  • What do you do with an empty home?
  • How do I use the ba-gua to sell a house?
  • What is the most important element I should be looking for when buying a new house?
  • We have had 20 showings on a house and it hasn't sold yet... everyone says the price is okay. What's the deal?
  • I am a Realtor and I would like to know... how can I Feng Shui my own home?
  • The house I am hoping to buy is North facing and is placed in a curve of a road. Should I buy it?
  • What do I do next when I have listings that have been Feng Shui'd repeatedly by a certified practitioner and I still can't get many people into the homes or buyers and have been told the home is energetically where it should be? Help, one listing has already expired!
  • I'm confused, I've read 3 books on Feng Shui and nothing seems to be working. Our lives are a mess, how can you help?
  • We don't seem to be able to keep money. Could it be due to our location?
  • What can I do to my home office to bring constant business my way?
  • What's more important, the front door or the floor plan?
  • How can I Feng Shui my garden?
  • I'm desperate and need Feng Shui to work, how do I get started?

ANSWER: The above are a few questions I received last week. I get 100s of similar questions like these, weekly – many of which I have have already answered in prior Truth & Tips, and others that cannot be answered in a simple sentence or two. However, all of your questions are important, and all of them can be answered "on your own" via an integrative approach to Feng Shui.

With little effort, and a lot of fun on your part, I suggest that you "seriously" learn how to Feng Shui like a PRO, to improve the "quality of your Life" and to to sell property faster at the same time too.

If money is an issue for you, I recommend that you start with our "integrative" FENG SHUI EMPOWERMENT program first, then upgrade to Feng Shui CERTIFICATION later on, as we are happy to credit your initial investment back, when you upgrade to certification!

For those of you who want IMMEDIATE answers and results, I recommend that you get Feng Shui CERTIFIED, no matter what your career or profession is.

Feng Shui principles, when integrated and appropriately applied to your home and work environment will dramatically enrich your life, improve your relationships, increase your wealth and support your health.

What could possibly be better than this?

Also, if you've listened to my Feng Shui Predictions Seminar, then you KNOW that the "new" EARTH ENERGY on the planet, DEMANDS that we spend TIME, MONEY and ENERGY on Personal Growth and Empowerment NOW. If we don't, our peers, our profession and the World are going to pass us by.

I understand and appreciate that economic times are rough right now. However, the choice to "come from" Scarcity Consciousness or ABUNDANCE Consciousness is "the deciding factor" that will determine the quality of your life and the state of your career to come.

Today, new EARTH energy demands Integrity, Truth, Creativity, Empowerment and Transformation for survival.

So, every time you say to yourself, "It's too expensive, or I cannot afford this or that", guess what? You STOP the FLOW of WEALTH and ABUNDANCE, and the Universe gives you MORE scarcity back!

Likewise, every time you say: "I AM Blessed and Abundant, and I deserve and can afford all that I seek and desire..." YOU give the Universe "permission" - to shower you with more ABUNDANCE and BLESSINGS back!

This is a Holographic Universe and, YOU are ALWAYS in the driver's seat! (This and more is in our Feng Shui Audio Program "Feng Shui Predictions" and is available to purchase online.)

Important Feng Shui Questions • Part II

QUESTION: Is it ok to have an 8 in the house address?

ANSWER: Yes. An 8 is a very auspicious number - it represents PRESENT money and good fortune.

QUESTION: Where is the best location in the house for a bedroom?

ANSWER: The best location for bedrooms, from a Feng Shui perspective, is towards the back or rear of a house. Whenever possible, it good to sleep in one of your favorable gua areas and/or at least make sure your headboard faces one of your best directions.

QUESTION: My husband and I are east people but our front door faces west. The money seems to flow out as fast as it flows in. Could the two things be related and how do we fix it.

ANSWER: Actually, you have described one the best "sitting" directions of a property for an EAST group person, one that supports both health and money. Thus I would look closely at your yard (garden) and at the condition of the gua areas inside your home for "clues and answers" to your question. The shape and/or location of your lot could shed some light on the problems you are experiencing as well.

QUESTION: Is it good idea to have a picture of the ocean above your bed?

ANSWER: No. It's better to have something soft, sensual and/or peaceful above your head while you sleep. You might want to try a field of flowers (even just 2 flowers in bloom) or a romantic piece of artwork instead.

QUESTION: How can I get pregnant this year?

ANSWER: This and more is available in our Feng Shui Forecast.

QUESTION: How can we achieve balance with children (with bad attitudes)? We have a missing relationship corner, is this relevant?

ANSWER: Yes this is relevant when factoring in Western Ba-gua Feng Shui. A missing Partnership gua can wreak havoc on your marriage and on all relationships. You will want to square off the missing section (outside) to contain the energy. If this is not possible due to living in an apartment or high-rise, then set the INTENTION that you are unaffected by it.

QUESTION: What is the best way to go about enhancing my home to create better health for my family?

ANSWER: If you live in a detached home, you will want to make sure that the "family" gua area (outside) is clean and green. Inside, you will want to make sure this gua area of living space is "fresh, clean and uncluttered" at all times. A healthy green plant is a good placement in the HEALTH gua area of your home as well.

QUESTION: Is it acceptable to have a swimming pool in the wealth corner of my lot?

ANSWER: This is an excellent placement for a pool! I would also add vibrant pots of colorful plants and flowers too.

Good Feng Shui Questions • Part I

QUESTION: Hi Suzee... What would be the most important thing I could do to this house or house/yard to improve the good fortune/health of the owners? 15803 SE 27th Circle, Vancouver, Washington one level, ranch, 1550 square feet, 3 bedroom, great room concept. Master in the SE corner, Dining in the SW corner, Kitchen in the SW, middle of home... Garage to the W, N side of home. Entry in the middle, N side.

ANSWER: Unfortunately, questions like this one require a 1 or 2 hour phone consultation, as it's impossible for me to comment with just the above information given. I would need to review your floor plan, furniture layout, photos, plot map, construction date, compass directions, landscaping and the occupants DOBs etc. BEFORE making Feng Shui recommendations.

QUESTION: How can I learn what the different areas of the house are so that we can be "balanced" healthy, financially, etc.

ANSWER: Click onto the FREE Ba-gua link on any of our websites -this will give you the different "life stations" or gua areas you seek.

QUESTION: Hi Suzee, You were a wonderful help to me years ago at my former home. I moved into attached housing, (units on both sides and back of unit), facing NE. Ceilings are slanted, highest at back of Unit. I'm not sure how to correct this as bedroom configuration prevents true South Facing for Bed. I am no longer in Real Estate, but I am interested in continuing to study Feng-Shui. Would it be worthwhile for me to take your Courses?

ANSWER: To answer the first part of your question, you will want to re-listen to your FENG SHUI ELEMENT as you have 3 other good directions for sleep, in addition to your A+ one. YES, our courses are beneficial for everyone. People from all walks of life and professions have commented that they are the best on the market, as they teach you how to use "integrative" Feng Shui templates and techniques covering both East and West practices. QUESTION: There are big raised long cracks in cement in garage floor up into entrance of back door which is entrance door into home. Entrance is into family room – child born in 2008 has mitochondrial disease.

ANSWER: Major cracks and earth separation is usually indicative of nearby radiation (Electromagnetic waves of energy from power lines, high tension wires and transformers) and/or from geopathic stress lines in the Earth. If this kind of energy can move, raise, and crack "concrete," then it is a given that it has an even "greater" affect on the lives of the occupants inside. In a nutshell, we are the environment we occupy. PLEASE, take action now to protect yourselves. (click onto our Electro-Magnetic Protection link to learn more)

QUESTION: Is a red accent wall good luck in the 2nd floor wealth section of your house?

ANSWER: The answer is – it depends on the "unseen" energy in the "wealth" gua quadrant of your home. To place safe, I would not paint it red.

QUESTION: Our entrance door when you open it goes straight thru the stairs that connects to my son's room. Is this bad or good?

ANSWER: Open stairs front facing an entry door is "difficult" Feng Shui and hard to remedy. The Chi (energy) moving between each "open" stair creates what is referred to as "knife blades." I would have your son keep his bedroom door closed at all times to avoid accidents, injury, agitation and/or problematic behavior.

Molina Family

Prior to my first Feng Shui consultation with Suzee, I had a busy business. I was making ends meet, but at the end of the day I was tired, rundown, and STRESSED OUT! My life was pretty chaotic. I booked the consultation not seeking more revenue, but to find a calm alternative to my hectic life. I thought Feng Shui might assist with balancing the frantic energy I felt on a daily basis.

My first consultation was so detailed! I took copious notes and listened to the recording of my session over and over each time discovering new tidbits of changes to balance the energy in my office.

There were so many positive changes to make, it took over 6 months to complete. But even before my work was complete I began to see changes to my business. I was flooded with new business at higher rates. My mind worked more creatively to develop systems and procedures to deal with the increased work in a more efficient way. My staff size doubled, clearing my plate to work “on” my business instead of “in” it. Within a year of my consultation, my revenues doubled and I began to experience life in a different way.

New opportunities presented themselves and because there was more peace and calm in my life, my eyes were opened to evaluate those opportunities. I believe opportunities had always abounded, but I could not see them before because of trying to survive my daily responsibilities.

Within a year of making my Feng Shui changes, I successfully sold my business and have gone on to own 3 others. My life now is peaceful, calm and my finances are plentiful.

After discovering the benefits of Feng Shui in my office, my husband and I worked with Suzee to consult on our home. The results were instantaneous! Our marriage has always been strong, but adding romantic decor to our bedroom immediately “spiced up” our love life the day we moved a few things. We added color and life to our friendly relations gua in our yard, and that evening received telephone calls from old friends we hadn't visited with in years! We made improvements to the health gua which happened to be our dog’s area in the yard. She had been suffering terrible pressure from an enlarged heart and was experiencing a chronic cough. Within days of bringing new life to this area, her cough diminished, which hadn’t happened in months! It was easy to see the power of Feng Shui both in the changes we made as well as reflecting on occurrences prior to the Feng Shui advice. As Suzee says Feng Shui is happening whether you believe in it or not!

Many, many thanks Suzee for teaching our family how to live in harmony. The blessings have been tremendous!

Good Feng Shui Questions • Part II

QUESTION: I live in a Townhouse and have a small yard in front only. My home is connected to other Townhomes. How do I effectively Feng Shui my landscape? In the rear I do have a patio. I'm just learning and am almost thru listening to your Feng Shui Empowerment. I'm in Real Estate and know that I must learn to Feng Shui my home and office for success.

ANSWER: In this situation, you will want to treat the front yard as an entire Ba-gua, and the same for the patio in the back as well. This will make up for the missing gua areas of your property. Congratulations on studying FENG SHUI; it will make a BIG difference in your life and career.

QUESTION: What is the best way to sell my house fast & get my listing price?

ANSWER: First off – NO AMOUNT of Feng Shui can hurdle an over priced listing, and 90-95% of all "non-foreclosure" properties on the market (in most states) are currently over-priced listings!

If you are serious about selling you house, I would start with our FENG SHUI EMPOWERMENT course to increase buyer and contract activity, immediately. Then after you see positive results, you can upgrade toFeng Shui CERTIFICATION. These two self-study courses are designed to help Architects, Builders, REALTORS and Stagers market and sell property faster, and that is exactly what they do.

QUESTION: How do you know in a house the location on the Bagua? Are you suppose to place it in the middle and work out or do you place it at the front door?

ANSWER: Place the Ba-gua over the entire house based on the "main entrance" door location, if it's your primary residence. Next you will want to do the same for each room inside the house too.

QUESTION: Suzee: which c/d should I get? I am the element water, but you mention the Feng Shui Predictions for the World 2004-2024. Should I get that one instead? I am not into Real Estate but would like to know what is ahead and how to make money am retired?

ANSWER: Without bias, regardless what profession you are in or even if you are retired, you will benefit IMMENSELY from ordering your Feng Shui Element (Water), Feng Shui Forecast 2009 and Feng Shui Predictions (see link above). Every human being needs to learn and understand the "content" of these three formidable seminars, if you want to live a blessed, healthy and abundant life from this day forward.

Feng Shui for Health, Relationships & Wealth

QUESTION: Which direction should a house face, i.e. the location of the front door? My husband and I hope to be building our dream home in the Eldorado Hills of California in the not too distant future and would like to get your input.

ANSWER: The answer is two-fold. First, do not concern yourself with the "facing" of the entrance door, when the "sitting" direction of a house is the most important consideration, in terms of Classical (traditional) Feng Shui!

Next, the "highest" wage earner's "Feng Shui Element" determines the best "sitting directions" for a house. However, if one or more of the occupants has a "life threatening" sickness or disease then consideration should be given to their best home directions as well.

Your four "best and worst" directions are on you FENG SHUI ELEMENT audio.

QUESTION: My husband is never interested in making love – sex. I don't know why. He says he loves me but in the night he sleeps ignoring me and if I ask him for sex then he gets irritated. I strongly feel that there is something negative in our home. Can you please suggest what I should do? We got married just 1 and a half year ago and I have a strong desire for a child.

ANSWER: In respect to Feng Shui, if your bedroom is in balance (the 5 elements and yin/yang), and if your decor reflects grace, harmony, beauty, sensuality, and sacredness – it "definitely" supports romance, intimacy and lovemaking.

If your bedroom environment is complete in this regard, then I highly recommend taking a fabulous seminar called "Celebrating Men, Satisfying Women," to learn more about men, love, sex, communication and marriage. Whether you are 16 or 80, you will learn a lot! (Click here for information on PAX seminars for women).

QUESTION: I'm a property agent in Singapore. How do I create wealth and be more successful in my career?

ANSWER: Feng Shui is popular and respected in Singapore. As a real estate or property agent, you will want to learn how to Feng Shui your "primary" residence and property listings to achieve success and wealth.

There is no "single" Feng Shui Tip that will achieve what you desire; however, there are 101 tips in ourFENG SHUI EMPOWERMENT course and over 500 tips, techniques and templates in our FENG SHUI CERTIFICATION course that will teach you how to reach your goal...a whole lot faster!

Also, in the "best" interest of your clients' and your career - I highly recommend learning Feng Shui, no matter what country you reside in.

QUESTION: We are very broke right now and have been for a while and no matter what we do things don't get better financially or health wise. I know nothing should be broken in the home and we have several things that are broken like a toilet, a dishwasher, an oven etc... and I know you suggest a pool in the yard and that is out of the question. We have a beautiful home but we do not have the money to make the repairs. What can we do? Another problem are the steps leading up to our door, it is all brick and there are cracks in between that is pulling away at the structure. Are we doomed if we can't fix these problems?

ANSWER: In Feng Shui, a pool is an enhancement not a requirement for health and success. The other items you mentioned, however, are VERY important to both.

At the quantum level, there is NO "separation" in energy - thus you are the environment you occupy. Therefore, if major household items are broken, cracked and/or structurally defective, the same is true "someplace" in your life and/or career as well. Usually Health, Relationships and Finances fall apart first. Thus the choice to be doomed or not, is ultimately up to you.

QUESTION: Hi Suzee, after reading various Feng Shui books I feel confused. As the one version works with the bagua from looking where the chi enters the house and the other version works with compass where every direction represents a house/bagua. The zone that I would like to give a positive effect is "relationship" and these zones are different according to the two different Feng Shui books.

ANSWER: There are many schools of Feng Shui. Since you are a novice, I would not recommend you concern yourself with compass directions - simply Feng Shui from your main entrance door. Next, make sure to sleep, eat, work and create while honoring one of your best directions. Each person has 4 good and 4 bad directions, based on one's "personal" Feng Shui Element at birth.

QUESTION: Is it good to have a mirror inside the house just in front of principal door?

ANSWER: In my opinion, no. A mirror pushes (reflects) chi - life force energy - back out, the opposite of what you want to do. However, I know that many authors and masters believe otherwise so it's best to test the "difference" for yourself.

QUESTION: What is the one, single most important thing that I can do in my own home to increase wealth?

ANSWER: Like the other question above, the best thing you can do is to learn how to space-clear, stage and Feng Shui, properly, from the start.

QUESTION: My son has bought house in the cul-de-sac. Is it good or not?

ANSWER: In general, most cul-de-sac locations are "difficult" on homeowners and occupants. Some locations within a cul-de-sac are disastrous, while others are less affected. The surrounding environment is a factor as well, making some cul-de-sac locations and homes "premium." Lots, locations, and floor plans are covered in detail in our CERTIFICATION course.

QUESTION: I would like to take advantage of your special summer offer, but money is tight and I can't afford it.

ANSWER: Quite honestly, if money is tight, you cannot afford not to learn integrative Feng Shui or to have a consultation!

Keep in mind that every time you tell yourself (and others), that you are struggling to survive, that you don't have money or you cannot afford something - you come from "Victimhood and Scarcity" Consciousness. This kind of mindset and dialogue, "de-magnetizes" good fortune from happening in your life.

Feng Shui is Phenomenal and the results are POWERFUL, when one is "accountable and responsible" for their actions, thoughts, words and deeds.

The decision to come from "ABUNDANCE Consciousness" (no matter what your personal state of affairs) is no longer an option. It is now a "requirement" of Health, Wealth, Love and Success in the 21st Century!

Feng Shui for Health, Relationships & Wealth • Part II

QUESTION: How can Feng Shui help me to bring more clients?

ANSWER: Feng Shui can enhance the prospects for many things in our lives, including more clients; however, Feng Shui enhancements require a "positive and unwavering" mindset to support one's dreams and goals. In general, to increase clients you will want to space-clear and lift the chi in the CAREER, KNOWLEDGE and FAME/FORTUNE gua areas of your home and office.

QUESTION: I live in a house that is from the 1700's. the people from whom we bought it had won and lost fortunes several times. We seem to following in that mode. I am a real estate agent and so is my husband. He has been President of the local and state boards previously. We need a new septic and roof. I have smudged the whole house and worked on de-cluttering. I am at wit's end to figure it all out!! Help!!

ANSWER: Smudging, at best, works for 24 to 48 hours. Too, there are many factors and conditions that could be causing this up/down syndrome. For now I suggest taking a hard look at your land (lot), and lift the Chi in the appropriate gua areas there - first. Too, because the house is quite old, my guess is that the "unseen" energy needs to be remedied and enhanced to bring it back into balance. However, due to the age of your home, this should be done with a professional Feng Shui consultant. If you cannot afford a consultation, then I suggest listening to myFeng Shui Forecast seminar for "generic" remedies and enhancements that can be done on your own.

QUESTION: Hi Suzee, I am confused with Feng Shui's Compass & Black Hat, etc. systems. I was born 06/23/1951 in Russia. Let say, if my best direction is North, should I work facing North or be in the north part of room facing South?

ANSWER: Good Question. Whenever you can occupy one of your "best" gua areas for support, you definitely want to do so.

Feng Shui can get VERY confusing and to make matters worse, neither school mentioned above determines your best directions! The school that does is called 8 Mansions (in English). Also, there are two schools of thought on how to capitalize on one's best directions. Many authors, teachers and masters believe your "back" should be supported by one of your best directions, while others believes you "eyes" should always face one.

My approach to "directions" is a bit different. When reclining or sleeping, I recommend honoring one of your best "headboard" (top of head) directions to support good health. When it comes to sitting, standing and/or working, I recommend capitalizing on one (or as many as your can) of your best "vision" directions.

QUESTION: How do I get Buyers in this Market?

ANSWER: There are endless ways for you to get buyers, in any market, if you are proactive! However, from a Feng Shui perspective, I recommend that you de-clutter (space clear) and Feng Shui your "own" home, office, briefcase and car, first. Once you live and work in a "balanced" environment, your "centered and high" ENERGY automatically will attract good fortune, including qualified and loyal buyers.

QUESTION: Is it good if the main door of my house faces the main road & has a mango tree in front?

ANSWER: It's difficult if the tree "blocks" your entrance door (opportunity) and if the traffic moves fast (doesn't allow positive energy to gather and accumulate). If you cannot move, then you will need to "set" the INTENTION, now, that "your" energy is more powerful than the worse Feng Shui!

QUESTION: Please let me know if to learn Feng Shui will help me, barely to earn $100 dollars (good month's) repairing windshields (stone-breaks), never in my life to afford an automobile on my extremely low income, I never to get to marry nor live with a woman. I live in celibacy in spite of my 48 year age. I live here in Lares, Puerto Rico.

ANSWER: YES. A $19 mp3 of your personal FENG SHUI ELEMENT will provide you with "vitally" important information that will help you in all aspects of your life and career.

QUESTION: I live in Perth western Australia and want to know how do I attract a relationship one based on loyalty and trust. I want to know do I practice feng shui the western way in the southern hemisphere?

ANSWER: Western Ba-gua Feng Shui works in every area of the world, especially in regards to health, relationships and finances. I believe many of the other schools do as well; however, not all Feng Shui Masters would agree with me. BE what you want to have and it's yours!

QUESTION: I have read that mirrors in the bedroom should be covered up at night and also read it is not necessary. Which is true?

ANSWER: If your head board or foot board direction is not in direct alignment with a mirror, you do not need to cover it. However, if you are "super sensitive" and/or a light sleeper, then I would cover the mirrors at night. By the way, one mirror in a bedroom is more than enough!

QUESTION: Can I just use the Bagua map for room by room decoration or do I have to use a compass?

ANSWER: You do not need to use a compass, unless you are doing "fixed" Ba-gua Feng Shui. I believe that Chi - energy - is constantly "changing and moving," therefore I do not integrate it (fixed Ba-gua directions) in my consultations or self study programs.

QUESTION: I have a retail shop and money goes away like speed and I am always finding myself in financial problems. Are there any remedies for this?

ANSWER: Yes. The same Feng Shui remedies and enhancements that work for homes are applicable for businesses too.

QUESTION: Is the color green and violet good to combine as wedding motif?

ANSWER: Yes, the color green represents health, the birth of new ideas along with growth, and violet is "light fire" which sparks love and passion!

QUESTION: Its been 5 years of our marriage but we don't have kids - can you please help me?

ANSWER: This is a a year of PEACH BLOSSOM, a "good" year for love, romance, marriage, conception and birth. You might enjoy listening to my Feng Shui Forecast for ideas where to make whoopie!!!

QUESTION: What makes us believe that there are these 5 elements and is there any relation between them and religion?

ANSWER: The "five elements" go back thousands of years in Chinese history, and are rooted in Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Feng Shui is the study of energy and how energy flows in, around, through and as us; it has nothing to do with religion.

QUESTION: I am an Earth Rabbit (DOB 6th July 1939 at 6.30 p.m.). My Main door faces SOUTH 2. 2008 is supposed to be a very good year for Rabbits. But Finances are strangling me in spite of placing the recommended Feng Shui cures in the various sectors of the house. How do I get out of this dilemma?

ANSWER: This is a VERY auspicious year for those born in the year of the Rabbit. However, without knowing your gender (Feng Shui Element) I cannot comment on South 2. Also, I have no idea what cures you have actually made; however, the word "cures" lends me to believe that they are more "superstitious and cultural" in nature, than actual Feng Shui remedies and enhancements.

Also, without seeing your floor plan and knowing more details, I suggest that you start from scratch and Feng Shui your home, land and work environment again, on your own, or with professional help to take advantage of the auspicious energy that is yours.

QUESTION: If I have to place my bed under a window, how can I counteract that?

ANSWER: You will want to have a "sturdy" wood head board and add "wood" blinds and/or shutters to slow down the Chi. I would also keep your bedroom door 3/4 closed at night while you sleep. If room permits, I would also hang a wind chime (off center) on the eve outside your bedroom window to spin the Chi.

QUESTION: Hi Suzee my name is Priscilla I was born on the 2nd of November 1964 and have had little luck in love, what can I do to change that this year?

ANSWER: Again, this is a year of PEACH BLOSSOM (2008) - a year of love, romance, marriage, conception, birth along with fame and fortune. I suggest you listen to my Feng Shui Forecast and make the necessary remedies and enhancements right away. You are a WEST Group person, and there are many beneficial gua areas for you to occupy this year!

QUESTION: Is it good to buy condo with the light rail transit as a view?

ANSWER: If you haven't purchased it yet, I would PASS. Locations that exude peace, harmony and serenity (quiet), support our physical, mental and emotional bodies. When Chi - energy - has the opportunity to slow down and gather, we can tap into a pool of blessings and opportunities, effortlessly, instead of having them pass us by (rail).

QUESTION: My bed has a beam on top of it, it crosses the middle of my bed. how can i cure the energy being suppressed by the beam over my bed?

ANSWER: The energy is not being suppressed, the opposite is true. Many books say to add a flute to the beam; however, I find that this does "very little" to stop the downward "poison arrow" (fast moving pathway of Chi). The goal is to "break" or "scatter" the energy so it does not affect your health, or separate you from a loved one.

The best remedies for a beam are to: Bull nose the beam to soften and redirect the Chi away, paint it white to help camouflage the beam, spot light the beam to scatter the Chi, add an overhead ceiling fan to spin the Chi up and away... or, all the aforementioned.

QUESTION: What corner of my bedroom would be referred to as the "Love" corner? Is it the southeast, or northeast? And if so, do I view it from the entrance to my bedroom? I was told that's the corner I need to concentrate on to keep an existing relationship alive or to reignite one that has cooled.

ANSWER: Wow - even I'm confused!

First off, if you are using "fixed" Ba-gua Feng Shui the "Southwest," not NE or SE corner, is your "love" area. If you are using Western Ba-gua Feng Shui, the "Love/Partnership /Marriage" qua is viewed as the furthest right-hand corner from the entrance door. I don't know about the "cool down" of which you speak, but perhaps you are referring to the "unseen" energy - Lo-Shu Flying Stars. If so, you can learn how to remedy this on your own, with my Feng Shui Forecast audio program on the links to the left.
